Broadcom Stock Climbs 6% on Google's $185 Billion AI Capex Boost
Broadcom shares rose 6% in extended trading after Google disclosed it will spend up to $185 billion on capital expenditures this year, nearly double last year’s amount. The chipmaker’s custom ASIC business supports Google’s Tensor Processing Units and is developing “XPUs” for hyperscalers including Anthropic.
