Broadcom holds roughly 70% to 80% share of the nascent AI ASIC market, supplying custom accelerators to five leading hyperscale customers—Google, Meta, ByteDance, OpenAI and Anthropic—while courting prospective engagements with Apple, Arm and xAI. In December 2025 Broadcom rolled out its Gen 8 Fibre Channel family—Brocade X8 Directors and G820 56-port switches—featuring built-in 256-bit quantum-resistant encryption and post-quantum cryptography algorithms. The X8 Director scales to 384 ports of 128 Gbps connectivity with sub-second failover, while the G820 fits 56 ports at the same line rate into a 1U chassis.
