Broadcom unveils Wi-Fi 8 AP with BCM49438 AI chip and 48-port switch
Broadcom launched its first Wi-Fi 8 access point and Trident X3+ switch with the BCM49438 AI chip, 48 multi-gigabit ports and MACsec security for high-density enterprise AI networks. In Q1 FY2026 Broadcom posted $18.02B revenue, up 28%, with AI sales surging 74% and forecast AI chip revenue doubling to $8.2B.
