BRP Launches 2030 Sustainability Plan Targeting 30% Emissions and 85% Waste Diversion
BRP launched its 2030 Beyond the Ride sustainability program targeting a 30% emissions cut and 85% waste diversion at manufacturing sites. The plan embeds carbon metrics in supplier selection by 2028, secures commitments from suppliers covering 70% of emissions and invests 1% of profits in community initiatives.
1. Program Launch
On February 26, 2026, BRP introduced its Beyond the Ride program, embedding sustainability across environment, social and governance pillars to drive continuous improvement and stakeholder value through 2030.
2. Environmental Commitments
The environment pillar aims to cut Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 30%, divert at least 85% of manufacturing waste from landfills and reduce freshwater consumption at water-stressed sites by 2030, while targeting a 4% average GHG reduction on new ICE models and integrating recycled materials.
3. Supply Chain and Social Initiatives
BRP will embed carbon metrics in supplier selection by 2028 and secure emission reduction commitments from suppliers covering 70% of supply-chain emissions. The social pillar allocates 1% of profits to community programs, sustains the Ride Out Intimidation initiative and maintains a Zero Incident health and safety goal at all facilities.
4. Governance and Ethics
The governance pillar requires annual ethics training and certification for all permanent office employees and Board members, and implements ethical standards and technological safeguards to ensure responsible use of AI across the organization.
