BTQ Gets Australian Government Advisory Support for QCIM Commercialization

BTQBTQ

BTQ has been selected for the Australian Government’s Industry Growth Program Advisory Service to accelerate commercialization of its Quantum Compute-in-Memory chip. The program offers strategic guidance to advance QCIM from a validated test chip to a production-ready platform, complementing collaborations with ITRI and ICTK for silicon validation and integration.

1. Government Program Support

On March 9, 2026, BTQ was awarded support through the Australian Government’s Industry Growth Program Advisory Service. This initiative will provide tailored guidance to accelerate the QCIM chip’s transition from research to commercial deployment.

2. QCIM Technology Overview

QCIM is a crypto-agile secure element implemented in 28-nanometer silicon, capable of delivering both classical and post-quantum cryptography directly in hardware. It targets high-throughput, low-power encryption and digital signatures for defense, financial services, telecommunications and critical infrastructure.

3. Commercialization Pathway

The advisory service will help BTQ refine go-to-market strategies, identify priority defense and mission-critical sectors, support pilot deployments and align QCIM development with national security and sovereign capability objectives. Its goal is to move from a validated test chip to a production-ready platform.

4. Collaborations and Next Steps

BTQ is collaborating with ITRI to build and benchmark QCIM in silicon, measuring key metrics like speed and power consumption. In parallel, work with ICTK focuses on integrating the chipset for real-world validation, with initial targets including defense systems, payment infrastructure, telecom networks and industrial IoT.
