BTQ Technologies to Embed Hardware-Based Post-Quantum Cryptography in Daou Data Payment Networks

BTQBTQ

BTQ Technologies has partnered with Daou Data to implement hardware-based Korean post-quantum cryptography across payment gateway and VAN systems, with Keypair supplying security modules and integration support. The deal leverages Daou Data's enterprise scale to deploy quantum-resilient key management in critical infrastructure and accelerates BTQ's Korean fintech expansion.

1. Strategic Collaboration Details

BTQ and Daou Data have agreed to integrate hardware-based Korean post-quantum cryptography into Daou Data's payment gateway and VAN infrastructures to strengthen cryptographic processing, key generation and management within dedicated hardware boundaries. The collaboration aims to protect against Harvest Now, Decrypt Later attacks by securing institutional systems before quantum-capable threats emerge.

2. Keypair's Implementation Role

Keypair will supply post-quantum-ready hardware security modules and handle device-layer integration, leveraging BTQ's strategic investment and co-development in Keypair's intellectual property. This partnership builds on BTQ's ownership stake and is intended to streamline deployment across regulated institutional systems in finance and enterprise.

3. Strategic Impact on BTQ's Korean Operations

The agreement extends BTQ's footprint in Korea's digital payments ecosystem, complementing prior projects with ICTK (US$15 million quantum-secure chip development), Danal's QSSN proof of concept and expanded deployments with Finger Inc. It positions BTQ at the intersection of hardware security, payment systems and next-generation standards development with QSSN and global standards bodies.
