
Busch Gardens Tampa Bay has appointed industry veteran Jon Vigue as park president to oversee a more than $100 million investment in new attractions and park enhancements, including Lion and Hyena Ridge habitat. Vigue brings nearly 30 years of leadership from Wild Adventures and Lake Compounce, enhancing operational excellence.
Busch Gardens Tampa Bay has named Jon Vigue as its new park president, marking a leadership shift as the park embarks on a significant expansion. Vigue brings almost three decades of experience from Wild Adventures and Lake Compounce, where he led operational turnarounds and guest experience strategies.
The park is channeling over $100 million into new attractions and enhancements, highlighted by the Lion and Hyena Ridge habitat—its largest animal exhibit in over a decade—and the Wild Oasis family adventure area, which debuted in 2025. Investments also target food, beverage and entertainment upgrades designed to extend guest visits from day into night.
This summer’s Summer Nights event runs through August 9 with new Beach Bash shows, Boom Box Dance Party returns and complimentary beer for adults. After dark, the Wild Skies drone show and fireworks spectacular will feature 400 synchronized drones, a patriotic 250th birthday production and a new exclusive drone spectacular launching July 10.
