Buzz-US natgas stocks fall on record output and ample storage
UNG•Natural gas stocks and ETFs fall with futures
Shares of U.S. natural gas companies were down, tracking a fall in natgas futures.
Front-month gas futures for August delivery were down 3.9% at $2.768 per million British thermal unit, on record output, lower flows to liquefied natural gas export plants, and ample amounts of gas in storage.
Natgas companies fell: CNX Resources CNX.N 1.3%, EQT Corp EQT.N 1.2%, Cheniere Energy LNG.N 3.2% and Energy Transfer ET.N 1.9%.
Williams Companies WMB.N was down 3.4%, NextDecade NEXT.O dipped 4.8% and Sempra SRE.N slipped about 1%.
ETFs United States Natural Gas Fund UNG.P were down 3.6%, and ProShares Ultra Bloomberg Natural Gas BOIL.P fell about 7%.
