The S&P 500 and Nasdaq slipped in choppy trading on Tuesday, weighed down by heavyweight tech stocks, as investors assessed a report suggesting the United States and Iran were close to "some sort of an arrangement".
At 11:30 a.m. EDT, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was down 0.02% at 53,962.91. The S&P 500 .SPX was down 0.07% at 7,747.61 and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was down 0.21% at 26,548.14.
