U.S. indexes recover as yields retreat
August 19 (Reuters) - The main U.S. stock indexes recovered on Wednesday after a technology-driven slump in the previous session as government bond yields retreated from multi-decade highs and investors assessed a slew of corporate updates.
At 11:30 EDT, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.38% at 53,547.34. The S&P 500 was up 0.51% at 7,730.32, and the Nasdaq Composite was up 0.42% at 26,399.66.
