U.S. stocks rise as chip shares recover
July 20 (Reuters) - The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq rose on Monday as chip stocks recovered from last week's sharp selloff, while investors looked ahead to earnings from major technology companies that have driven Wall Street's AI-fueled rally.
At 13:30 EDT, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was down 0.41% at 51,929.68. The S&P 500 .SPX was up 0.14% at 7,467.87, and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was up 0.44% at 25,632.24.
