Cablenet selects Harmonic cOS platform to upgrade Cyprus broadband network
HLIT•Cablenet selected Harmonic’s cOS virtualized platform to modernize its DOCSIS broadband network in Cyprus. The project targets multi-gigabit service tiers and aims to reduce operating costs and improve network monitoring and service assurance.
1. Network upgrade
Cablenet will use Harmonic’s cOS platform and a distributed access architecture to target multi-gigabit service tiers and expand its gigabit footprint. The project aims to reduce space, power, wiring and hub-site complexity by shifting functions from legacy hardware to software; Cablenet will also use Harmonic’s Central AI network intelligence for monitoring and service assurance.
