Cabot Achieves 14 of 15 2025 Goals, Cuts Landfill Waste by 87%
CBT•Cabot completed 14 of its 15 2025 Sustainability Goals—with 11 met ahead of schedule—and reported an 87% reduction in nonhazardous landfill waste at its Franklin, Louisiana facility. It also outlined six priority 2030 goals, including development of an externally certified Product Carbon Footprint tool.
1. 2025 Goals Achievement
Cabot completed 14 of its 15 2025 Sustainability Goals, with 11 met ahead of schedule, reinforcing its environmental performance in 2025.
2. 2030 Goals and PCF Tool
The company launched six priority 2030 Sustainability Goals and began developing an externally certified Product Carbon Footprint tool, following its collaborative life cycle assessment methodology for furnace carbon black.
3. Gypsum Reuse and Waste Reduction
At its Franklin, Louisiana facility, Cabot’s new pathway converts synthetic gypsum into a cement manufacturing input, cutting nonhazardous landfill waste by 87% and contributing to a 70% global waste reduction from 2024 to 2025.
4. Reporting Standards and Strategy Integration
The 2026 Sustainability Report aligns with Global Reporting Initiative Standards, supports UN Global Compact participation, and integrates sustainability with Cabot’s Creating for Tomorrow strategy to drive value creation.
