Cabot FY26 Q3 net income turns to USD 6 million profit; net sales rise 6.39% to USD 982 million

Cabot posted third-quarter GAAP diluted EPS of $0.12, swinging from $1.86 a year earlier; net income attributable to shareholders fell to USD 6 million.
Net sales rose to USD 982 million.
Segment performance and guidance
Reinforcement Materials EBIT dropped 24% year-over-year to USD 97 million on lower gross profit per ton.
Performance Chemicals EBIT climbed 19% year-over-year to USD 68 million on higher volumes and improved gross profit per ton.
Adjusted EPS, a non-GAAP metric, eased to $1.67 from $1.90; results included an after-tax certain-items charge of $1.55 per share.
Cabot tightened fiscal 2026 adjusted EPS guidance to $6.15-$6.45, expanded battery conductive additive capacity plans, and reaffirmed about USD 40 million of battery materials EBITDA.
