Caesars Entertainment said on Thursday the company and Fertitta Entertainment had received a US Federal Trade Commission request for additional information related to the regulator's review of the proposed buyout.
- Caesars and Fertitta Entertainment have received a second request from the FTC on September 14, according to a regulatory filing.
- Hospitality billionaire Tilman Fertitta's firm, which owns Golden Nugget Hotel and Casinos and the NBA's Houston Rockets, had offered to buy Caesars in a $17.6 billion deal earlier in May this year.
- Caesars also said Jesse Lynn and Ted Papapostolou would resign from the company's board, effective immediately, adding that the Icahn Group had waived its right to appoint replacement directors.
- Lynn and Papapostolou had joined the casino operator's board last year, as part of an agreement with activist investor Carl Icahn.
