Caledonia Mining Intercepts 19m at 8.08 g/t Gold, Maiden Resource Due Q3
CMCL•Caledonia Mining reported drill results from its Motapa gold project including intercepts up to 19 metres at 8.08 g/t and grades nearing 14 g/t, underpinning a Q3 maiden resource estimate. The company plans to leverage adjacent Bilboes infrastructure to optimize development synergy and enhance project economics.
1. High-Grade Drill Intercepts
Caledonia Mining reported standout assays from its Motapa gold project, including intercepts up to 19 metres at 8.08 g/t gold and individual samples approaching 14 g/t. These high-grade results confirm significant mineralization and strengthen the case for resource delineation across the target zone.
2. Maiden Resource Estimate Scheduled for Q3
Leveraging the encouraging drill data, the company aims to deliver its first mineral resource estimate in the third quarter. This estimate will quantify gold ounces at Motapa and provide a foundation for project valuation, financing and development planning.
3. Synergies with Bilboes Infrastructure
Motapa sits adjacent to the Bilboes project, offering access to existing processing facilities, road networks and logistics assets. Management expects these synergies to reduce capital spending, accelerate project timelines and improve overall economic returns.
