Caledonia Mining Reports 10,311.9m Deep Drilling, Grades Up to 48g/t at 1,080m
Caledonia Mining completed 10,311.9 metres of deep drilling at Blanket Mine in 2025, confirming high-grade intersections down to 1,082 metres, including a 46.3m true width at 48.0g/t in the new BLK7 orebody. Confirmation of the Lima orebody to the 34 level bolsters resource confidence ahead of a 2026 update.
1. Deep Drilling Campaign
Between March and December 2025, Caledonia completed 10,311.9 metres of deep level drilling at Blanket Mine, targeting the Blanket, Eroica and Lima orebodies down to depths exceeding 1,100 metres. The programme was designed to test continuity below the 34 level and support upgrades of inferred resources to the indicated category.
2. High-Grade Intersections
Drilling returned multiple wide, high-grade zones, notably BLK7 intersections averaging 48.0 g/t gold over a 46.3m true width at 1,082m depth. Additional strong grades were encountered in the Blanket Quartz Reef and Eroica hanging wall zones, underscoring the mine’s deep mineral potential.
3. Resource Confidence and Planning
Confirmation of the Lima orebody’s continuity to the 34 level and consistent grades across key orebodies is set to feed into an updated mineral resource and reserve statement in 2026. These results underpin longer-term life-of-mine planning and reinforce the value of recent investments in deep drilling.
