Calidi Biotherapeutics to Present CLD-401, CLD-501 Data at ASCO and Targets IND by Year-End
CLDI•Calidi Biotherapeutics will present two RedTail abstracts at the 2026 ASCO Annual Meeting showcasing preclinical data on CLD-401 and CLD-501. CLD-401 shows potent IL-15 superagonist expression recruiting NK and γδ T-cells, CLD-501 combines a TROP-2 engager with IL-15 SA, and an IND is expected by end-2026.
1. ASCO Abstract Acceptances
Calidi Biotherapeutics secured online publication for two abstracts at the 2026 ASCO Annual Meeting, running May 29–June 2 in Chicago. These abstracts focus on its proprietary RedTail virotherapy platform and its lead programs, CLD-401 and CLD-501.
2. CLD-401 Preclinical Highlights
CLD-401 is engineered for systemic delivery of an IL-15 superagonist, demonstrating high-level cytokine expression in tumor microenvironments and recruiting NK, NK-T and γδ T-cells in immunocompetent animal models. The data illustrate potential to overcome resistance in patients progressing on current immuno-oncology therapies.
3. CLD-501 TCE Dual Payload Approach
CLD-501 employs the RedTail platform to express a TROP-2 targeted T-cell engager alongside IL-15 SA, aiming to enhance T-cell activation directly within tumors. Preclinical results highlight simultaneous engagement of T cells and immune stimulation to boost antitumor responses.
4. Future Development and IND Timeline
Calidi plans to file an IND for CLD-401 by end-2026 and continues to explore strategic partnerships to accelerate clinical development. The company remains focused on expanding RedTail applications across metastatic indications.
