Canaan Achieves Record 1,826 BTC Treasury as Hashrate Surges 34.6%
Canaan’s April mining operations generated 93 BTC, lifting its treasury to a record 1,826 BTC and 3,952 ETH. Installed hashrate climbed 34.6% year-over-year to 10.97 EH/s (non-JV), with global fleet efficiency improving to 23.6 J/TH and North American JV hashrate at 4.82 EH/s with 120 MW capacity.
1. April Mining Production
In April, Canaan’s self-mining operations produced 90 BTC and earned an additional 3 BTC from customer payments, while its joint venture facilities generated approximately 48 BTC. These results increased the company’s balance sheet holdings to 1,826 BTC and 3,952 ETH at month-end.
2. Hashrate Growth and Efficiency
At month-end, non-joint venture installed hashrate reached 10.97 EH/s (up 34.6% year-over-year) with operating hashrate of 6.86 EH/s (up 10.6%). Global fleet efficiency improved from 27.4 J/TH to 23.6 J/TH since April 2025, enhancing power consumption metrics.
3. Joint Venture Operations
Canaan’s joint ventures in West Texas delivered 4.82 EH/s installed hashrate, 4.35 EH/s operating hashrate, and 120 MW of power capacity with an average efficiency of 25.69 J/TH. The company expanded its global mining projects to 13 active sites across five countries.
4. Tether Collaboration Order
The company secured a follow-on order from Tether for high-density hash board modules to support next-generation immersion-cooled mining systems at a South American facility, building on a successful R&D proof-of-concept.
