Canada FX Debt - Canadian dollar unchanged, benchmark yield climbs

Canadian housing starts in July fell more than expected to 229,100 units from a revised 240,800 units the previous month, the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) said.
A survey of 10 economists polled by Reuters had forecast July housing starts rising to 247.5,000 units.
The Canadian dollar was unchanged against the greenback on Tuesday, and the yield on benchmark government debt climbed.
The loonie CAD= was trading is unchanged at C$1.3873 to the greenback, or 72.08 U.S. cents, after trading in a range of 1.3862 to 1.3878.
Canadian government 10-year bond yields CA10YT=RR rose 1.3 basis points to 3.735%. The yield on similar U.S. government benchmark debt rose to 4.7339%.
