Sept. 4 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened lower on Friday after a stronger-than-expected jobs reading in the U.S. led markets to amplify bets on an interest-rate hike by the Federal Reserve this month.
The S&P/TSX Composite Index .GSPTSE was down 0.4% at 36,502.58 at 09:30 a.m. ET.
