OTTAWA, Sept. 2 (Reuters) - The Canadian government will extend a temporary pause of the federal fuel excise tax on gasoline and diesel until January 31, 2027, CTV News said on Wednesday.
The measure, first announced in April as part of a push to help Canadians deal with rising living costs, had been due to expire on September 7. It cut the cost of gas by 10 cents a liter on regular gas, and four cents on diesel.
