Canada’s economy was unchanged in July, Statistics Canada said. Increases in construction and utilities were offset by declines in manufacturing, mining, and oil and gas extraction; goods-producing and services-producing sectors were both flat.
2. August estimate
The agency’s flash estimate showed GDP was most likely up 0.2% in August. July GDP was unchanged year over year, while goods-sector output rose 0.6% and services output increased 1.8%.
