Canadian dollar strengthens, benchmark yield climbs

Canadian government 10-year bond yields CA10YT=RR rose 2.6 basis points to 3.652%. The yield on similar U.S. government benchmark debt fell to 4.6596%.
U.S. September crude CLc1 futures rose 89 cents to settle at $78.18 a barrel on Friday.
Canadian dollar and benchmark yield move higher
The Canadian dollar strengthened against the greenback on Friday, and the yield on benchmark government debt climbed.
The loonie CAD= was trading 0.5% higher at C$1.3936 to the greenback, or 71.76 U.S. cents, after trading in a range of 1.3926 to 1.4029.
