Canadian dollar weakens, benchmark yield climbs
TLT•The Canadian dollar weakened against the U.S. dollar on Monday, while Canadian 10-year government bond yields rose 3.2 basis points to 3.977%.
1. Currency trading
The loonie was trading 0% lower at C$1.425 per U.S. dollar, or 70.18 U.S. cents, after moving between 1.4239 and 1.4293.
2. Bond yields and oil
The yield on similar U.S. government benchmark debt rose to 5.3025%. U.S. November crude futures fell $1.10 to $90.01 a barrel.
