Canadian dollar weakens, benchmark yield climbs
TLT•The Canadian dollar fell 0.1% to C$1.4264 per U.S. dollar, while Canada's 10-year government bond yield rose 3.9 basis points to 3.987%.
1. Currency and bond moves
The Canadian dollar weakened against the U.S. dollar on Thursday, trading at C$1.4264, or 70.11 U.S. cents, after moving between C$1.4244 and C$1.4277. The U.S. 10-year government bond yield rose to 5.3199%. November U.S. crude futures gained $4.17 to $92.45 a barrel.
