Bombardier plans to invest $270 million in the United States and create 300 additional jobs through expansion projects. The company also said it is hiring for 500 open roles across the country.
1. Investment and hiring
Bombardier plans to invest $270 million in the United States, including additional funding for operations in Indiana, Connecticut and Texas. It announced $50 million for its Wichita operations earlier this month. The company said it is hiring for 500 open roles nationwide and plans to create 300 additional jobs through expansion projects.
2. US operations
Bombardier has 3,500 employees in the United States, more than 40% of them in Wichita, Kansas. CEO Eric Martel said the company sees a positive environment for continued investment following constructive conversations with the US administration. President Donald Trump had threatened in September to ban the company, but said this week he did not plan to hurt Bombardier or its workers.
