Canadian minister for U.S. trade to meet with Lutnick, Greer on Monday

Canadian minister responsible for bilateral U.S. trade Dominic LeBlanc will meet with United States Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer in Washington, D.C. on Monday, LeBlanc's office said.
The meeting, which will also be attended by Canada's chief trade negotiator Janice Charette, will be held at the Department of Commerce at 1 p.m. EDT.
Talks come as Canada seeks to avoid new U.S. tariffs
Canada has intensified its meetings with U.S. trade officials as Prime Minister Mark Carney tries to evade a looming new 50% on a wide range of products that President Donald Trump has promised to impose from August 19.
