Canopy Growth management attributes wider Q2 FY2027 net loss to swing in other income and expenses
CGC•Canopy Growth reported fiscal second-quarter 2027 revenue up 22% to CAD 81.37 million and a net loss of CAD 40.7 million, primarily due to unfavorable fair-value movements and higher operating expenses.
1. Quarterly results
Revenue rose 22% to CAD 81.37 million, driven by the MTL acquisition, growth in insured medical customers and stronger European cannabis sales. Gross margin fell to 29% from 33%, primarily reflecting lower medical cannabis reimbursement rates and acquired inventory step-up costs. Adjusted EBITDA loss narrowed to CAD 2.88 million from CAD 3.05 million, while free cash outflow declined to CAD 15.55 million from CAD 19.21 million, primarily reflecting working capital timing.
