On May 22, 2026, CareCloud acquired all assets of Empower Healthcare and Compliance Partners, a full-service compliance and advisory firm founded by industry veteran Mitchell Brie. The deal brings onboard certified coders and credentialed professionals specializing in audit defense, revenue integrity, privacy and security, and compliance program management.
The acquisition extends CareCloud’s AI-powered healthcare platform by integrating proactive compliance, audit-defense, and regulatory readiness services with its existing revenue cycle management and EHR solutions. This move enables cross-selling of high-value compliance offerings to over 45,000 existing providers, creating a new, recurring revenue stream.
Funded entirely from operating cash flow, the transaction is not expected to materially affect 2026 financial results. Empower’s compliance services will be available in Q2 2026, with collaboratively developed AI-enabled compliance SaaS offerings scheduled for rollout in the second half of the year.
