In fiscal 2025, Carnival achieved a 10.4% net margin and a return on invested capital of 13%, up sharply from deeply negative returns during the pandemic years. EBITDA climbed to $6.91 billion, surpassing the 2019 pre-pandemic peak of $5.43 billion, while operating margins expanded by 250 basis points year-over-year. These gains occurred despite a substantial debt load of $26.8 billion, as management prioritized deleveraging and cost controls without compromising service capacity or vessel maintenance.

Following the fiscal results, several Wall Street firms upgraded their outlooks on Carnival, citing resilient demand trends and an improving cost structure. One major brokerage raised its recommendation to a top-tier buy rating, highlighting the company’s strengthened balance sheet and backlog of bookings that extend well into the next peak season.
