Carrier surpasses one million trees in 2025 toward five million by 2030
Carrier funded 1,009,514 trees in 2025 toward its pledge to plant 5 million trees by 2030, marking over one million trees funded in the first year of the initiative. The effort spans nine ecosystems and is estimated to sequester 939,518 metric tons of CO2 and remove 2,045 tons of pollutants.
1. Milestone Achievement
On Earth Day 2026, Carrier marked its first-year progress by funding 1,009,514 trees toward a 2030 target of 5 million plantings.
2. Collaboration and Global Projects
The initiative supported nine reforestation efforts across ecosystems including the Amazon Rainforest, India’s Cauvery River Basin, Kenyan farmland and wildfire-damaged California forestland, with nearly 500 volunteers contributing more than 1,600 hours.
3. Environmental Impact Estimates
Impact estimates suggest this planting will sequester 939,518 metric tons of CO2 and remove 2,045 tons of pollutants over a 40-year period.
4. 2026 Plans and Engagement
Carrier will support 14 reforestation projects in 2026, organize global volunteer tree-planting events and invite stakeholders to select the final annual planting location later this year.
