Cars.com released its 2026 American-Made Index affordability guide featuring ten U.S.-assembled models with base prices ranging from $24,420 to $31,190. More than half of the vehicles start under $30,000, offering budget-conscious buyers American-made options amid rising national average prices.

The Toyota Corolla LE tops the list at $24,420, followed by the Honda Civic LX at $25,890 and the Toyota Corolla Cross L at $26,830. The lineup also includes the Subaru Crosstrek Base, Nissan Altima SV and Honda Accord LX, showcasing a mix of sedans and crossovers.

The Index evaluates over 350 vehicles against five metrics: assembly location, parts sourcing under the American Automobile Labeling Act, U.S. factory employment levels, engine sourcing and transmission sourcing. Rankings reflect each model’s domestic economic contribution.
