CWST• Hyland Landfill renewable natural gas facility begins operations
- Waga Energy SA and Casella started operations of a renewable natural gas facility at Hyland Landfill in Angelica, New York.
- The WAGABOX unit has a capacity of 3,000 scfm, with output projected at up to 610,000 MMBtu, or 180 GWh, annually.
- The gas injects into Eastern Gas Transmission and Storage, and the project targets about 47,000 tons of CO2-equivalent emissions avoided per year.
- Hyland marks the second of three joint RNG projects to enter operation, following the Chemung County facility earlier this year.
