Josh Hartnett said filming in Newfoundland and Labrador was the “most thrilling” part of the project. In the series, he plays a fisherman who harvests iceberg ice as fish supplies deplete.
2. Local influence
The series takes place during Come Home Year, a tradition in which Newfoundlanders who moved away for work visit home for the summer. Cast members said local actors helped them learn the Newfoundland accent. Mackenzie Davis said the show balances climate change themes with suspense and humor.
