Caterpillar names Derrick York Resource Industries Group president, succeeding Denise Johnson
CAT•Caterpillar appointed Derrick York president of its Resource Industries group effective Nov. 1, 2026, succeeding Denise Johnson, who will take an advisory role before retiring Feb. 1, 2027.
1. Leadership change
York has led Solar Turbines since 2023 and previously served as senior vice president of Caterpillar’s Oil & Gas and Marine division. Johnson will assume an advisory role on Nov. 1, 2026, and retire effective Feb. 1, 2027.
