CBAK Energy Unveils 32140 FS LFP Cells in Kenya, Eyes 38 GWh Capacity
CBAT•CBAK Energy showcased its cylindrical LFP portfolio at Autoexpo Kenya 2026, featuring 32140 FS cells with 1.3 mΩ internal resistance, 2C fast charge and over 77 million units sold globally. The company highlighted its 8.3 GWh capacity and plans to scale to 38 GWh for Africa’s 2 million boda-boda fleet.

CBAK Energy concluded its participation at Autoexpo Kenya 2026 in Nairobi, exhibiting its cylindrical LFP cells and sodium-ion solutions for E2W/E3W and battery swapping at Booth 136A.
2. 32140 FS Technical Highlights
The 32140 FS cell features 1.3 mΩ internal resistance, supports 2C fast charging and 3C continuous discharge, and has ultra-low heat generation, while full-tab design and rugged steel casing support high-frequency battery swapping.
3. African Market Opportunity
With Africa’s over 2 million commercial boda-boda riders seeking lower operating costs, CBAK’s LFP technology offers long cycle life, stable range, and reliability under heat, rough roads and heavy payloads, reducing total cost of ownership.
4. Production Capacity and Future Plans
CBAK Energy currently operates with 8.3 GWh annual capacity and can expand to 38 GWh, aiming to deepen partnerships across Africa to support growth in electric mobility and energy storage applications.
