CBAK Energy Unveils Certified 26650 and 40135 LFP Cells with 4 000-Cycle Life
CBAT•CBAK Energy showcased its cylindrical LFP cell portfolio at The Battery Show Europe 2026, including certified 26650 FS4, 26700 FB2, 40135 and 32140 series cells with UL 1642, IEC 62133, BIS and UL 9540A approvals. The 40135 series delivers 159 Wh/kg density with over 4 000 cycles to 80% SOH, –30 °C discharge performance and 2C fast-charging, while the upcoming 26650 HP/PFS2 targets rapid-response backup power for AI data centers.

CBAK Energy Technology exhibited its latest cylindrical LFP cells at The Battery Show Europe 2026 in Stuttgart, highlighting models such as the 26650 FS4, 26700 FB2, 40135 and 32140 series for portable and residential energy storage. The booth presentation emphasized flexible pack design and high-power applications across European markets.
2. Addressing Safety and Certification Requirements
The 26650 FS4 holds UL 1642, IEC 62133 and BIS certifications while the 26700 FB2 completed UL 9540A fire testing. The full-tab 40135 incorporates VENT and CID safety mechanisms to provide pressure relief and current interruption under abnormal conditions, streamlining compliance and installation confidence.
3. Enhanced Performance and Long Service Life
The 40135 cell delivers 159 Wh/kg energy density and endures over 4 000 cycles to 80% state-of-health under 0.5C conditions, reducing lifecycle costs. Its wide-temperature capability ensures more than 40% capacity at –30 °C, and 2C fast-charging supports approximately 30-minute recharge with limited heat generation.
4. Targeting AI Data Center Power Supply
CBAK introduced a second-generation 26650 HP/PFS2 designed for AI data center backup power, offering rapid response and high-density energy support. This product underlines the company’s focus on critical infrastructure applications requiring stable, fast-response power solutions.
