1. Licensing deal extended
Cboe signed a 25-year extension of its exclusive licensing agreement with S&P Dow Jones Indices, allowing it to continue exclusively offering trading in S&P 500 Index options through 2051. The companies may also collaborate on products beyond traditional index derivatives, including tokenized options contracts. RBC Capital Markets analyst Ashish Sabadra called the extension a significant positive catalyst, saying the agreement had been an overhang on Cboe’s stock.
