CBOT corn ends lower, consolidating below multi-year highs

- The US Department of Agriculture reported net export sales of US corn in the week ended September 10 at 1,026,700 metric tons, in line with trade expectations for 700,000 to 2,000,000 tons.
- Several South Korean feedmakers booked corn on the global export market, European traders said. GRA/TEND
- The International Grains Council trimmed its forecast for 2026/27 global corn production in a monthly update by 4 million metric tons to 1.301 billion tons.
Corn futures ease as market consolidates below recent highs
Chicago Board of Trade corn futures closed lower on Thursday as the market continued to consolidate below multi-year highs set this month, while brokers awaited more yield data from the early stages of the US corn harvest.
- CBOT December corn CZ26 ended down 3-3/4 cents, or 0.7%, at $5.30-1/2 per bushel.
- The December contract fell below chart support at its 20-day moving average for the first time in about a month.
