CBOT corn futures ended slightly higher on Friday after falling early to a one-month low, with pre-weekend buyers emerging. Traders said there were no concrete signs that China had agreed to buy U.S. corn in conjunction with this week's summit between Presidents Donald Trump and Xi Jinping.
U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer said the United States is expected to release details of the outcome of trade negotiations with China on Monday. Rain is delaying U.S. corn and soybean harvesting, and heavy rain is expected across parts of the Midwest, Plains and Delta later next week; the U.S. Department of Agriculture is scheduled to issue a weekly harvest progress update on Monday.
