CHICAGO, Sept 9 (Reuters) - Chicago Board of Trade soybean futures turned lower on Wednesday as traders looked ahead to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's supply and demand report later this week to help gauge the level of weather damage to Midwest crops.
- The USDA's supply-and-demand forecasts on Friday are expected to indicate the extent to which hot, dry spells this summer hurt U.S. Midwest crops. GRA/
- The USDA on Tuesday estimated the good/excellent score for soybeans was unchanged at 58%, exceeding average expectations of a one-point fall.
- Exporters sold 340,000 metric tons of soybeans to China for 2026/2027 delivery, according to the USDA.
- Exporters sold 100,000 metric tons of soybeans to unknown destinations for 2026/2027 delivery.
- Brazil's soy exports are seen reaching 7.74 million metric tons in September versus 6.97 million tons in the same period last year, according to grain exporters union ANEC.
- New-crop November soybeans SX26 settled 6-3/4 cents lower at $13.09-1/2 per bushel.
- CBOT October soymeal SMV26 ended $1.80 higher at $345.10 per short ton, while December soyoil BOZ26 settled 0.13 cents lower at 70.57 cents per pound.
