Wheat production in Canada was projected to fall by 10.9% to 36.1 million metric tons in 2026 compared with 2025, according to a Statistics Canada survey released on Wednesday, based in part on satellite and agroclimatic data.
CBOT December soft red winter wheat WZ26 was last down 1-1/2 cents at $7.27 per bushel. K.C. December hard red winter wheat KWZ26 was down 1-1/4 cents at $7.95 a bushel. Minneapolis December spring wheat MWEZ26 was last 2-1/2 cents higher at $7.51 a bushel.
CORN - Steady to down 2 cents per bushel
CBOT corn Cv1 futures were weaker on lower crude oil prices and a looming U.S. Midwest harvest.
Brazil's 2026/27 corn crop was projected to reach 148 million tons, up 2.8% from the previous season and the largest harvest ever recorded in the country, Brazil's national crop agency Conab said.
CBOT December corn CZ26 was last down 1/2 cent at $5.35-1/4 per bushel.

SOYBEANS - Up 3 to 9 cents per bushel
CBOT soybean futures Sv1 were higher for a third straight session on good demand for U.S. supplies and as high production costs were expected to curb acreage expansion in Brazil. Expectations for Chinese buying ahead of a meeting between Presidents Xi Jinping and Donald Trump next week underpinned the market.
Brazil's national crop agency Conab said the country's soybean production was expected to rise 0.7% to 181.64 million metric tons in 2026/27. But the planted area was seen expanding by the smallest percentage in two decades.
