CEL-SCI reports 73.4% five-year survival with Multikine in biomarker-selected head and neck cancer patients
CVM•CEL-SCI reported 73.4% five-year survival with Multikine in biomarker-selected head and neck cancer patients. The company said the findings support a planned 212-patient U.S. registration study designed to prospectively confirm the results.
1. Study findings
CEL-SCI presented new analyses from its completed Phase 3 Multikine study at a medical congress in Rome. The company said patients without lymph node involvement and with low or no tumor PD-L1 expression showed the strongest survival benefit; pre-surgical treatment increased tumor responses without increasing severe adverse events, and no deaths were attributed to Multikine.
2. Next study
The findings underpin a planned 212-patient U.S. registration study designed to prospectively confirm the results.
