CenterPoint Energy completes $2.62 billion sale of Ohio natural gas unit to National Fuel Gas
CNP•CenterPoint Energy completed the $2.62 billion sale of its Ohio natural gas distribution business to National Fuel Gas. Proceeds are earmarked to help fund CenterPoint’s $66.7 billion, 10-year capital plan.
1. Ohio business sale
The divested business includes about 5,900 miles of gas pipeline serving about 335,000 metered customers in west-central Ohio. National Fuel took over service for the former Ohio customers immediately after closing.
