Centerspace-IRT merger shifts to alternative structure with IRT unit as surviving entity
IRT•Revised merger structure elected
Centerspace is being acquired by Independence Realty Trust via a revised merger structure elected on Sept. 22, 2026.
Under the change, Centerspace will merge into an IRT merger subsidiary, which will survive as an IRT unit.
The operating partnership merger structure remains unchanged, with IRT’s partnership subsidiary set to merge into Centerspace’s operating partnership.
