Central Pacific Financial Q2 FY26 net income rises 13.66% to $20.8 million; net interest margin widens 4 bps to 3.57% vs Q1 FY26

Central Pacific Financial posted Q2 2026 net income of $20.8 million, or $0.80 per diluted share, up from $18.3 million a year earlier.
Net interest margin widened 4 basis points from Q1 to 3.57%, lifting net interest income 2.4% to $62.8 million.
Credit losses, other income and capital returns
Provision for credit losses rose to $4.4 million from $2.4 million in Q1, due to changes in the CECL economic forecast and higher unfunded commitments.
Other operating income climbed to $14.6 million from $11.6 million in Q1 on a $2.6 million increase in bank-owned life insurance income.
The company repurchased 321,858 shares for $11.3 million and raised the quarterly dividend 3.4% to $0.30 per share, payable Sept. 15.
