US medical device maker Ceribell said second-quarter revenue rose 33% year over year to $28.10 million, beating analyst expectations of $27.29 million.
The company reported a Q2 net loss of $19.30 million, or $0.51 per share, wider than the analyst estimates of $17.95 million and $0.47 per share. Gross profit was $25.90 million.
Gross margin improved on cost reductions and tariff refund
Gross margin improved to 92%, which the company attributed to manufacturing cost reduction initiatives, a new Vietnam manufacturing line, and a one-time benefit from tariff refunds.
Revenue growth was driven by new account additions and higher utilization among existing customers, despite seasonal moderation in ICU census. Subscription revenue also rose on continued growth in the installed base of Clarity subscriptions.
