CervoMed says Phase 2a nfvPPA trial of neflamapimod reduces plasma NfL over 12 weeks
CRVO•CervoMed said initial Phase 2a results for neflamapimod in nonfluent variant primary progressive aphasia showed reduced plasma NfL over 12 weeks. A neuroinflammation biomarker remained broadly stable; topline clinical results are expected in Q1 2027.
1. Initial biomarker results
CervoMed disclosed initial Phase 2a results for neflamapimod in nonfluent variant primary progressive aphasia, presented at ISFTD 2026. Plasma NfL, a blood marker tied to neurodegeneration, declined during the first 12 weeks of treatment, while a biomarker linked to neuroinflammation remained broadly stable.
2. Safety and next data
Safety was generally manageable, with one discontinuation linked to elevated liver enzymes that resolved after dosing stopped. Additional 24-week biomarker data are expected in November 2026, and topline clinical results are expected in Q1 2027.
