C&F Financial posted Q2 2026 net income of $8.6 million, up 11.1% year over year, with EPS of $2.63.
Results included a $8.3 million pre-tax gain from selling a Bearing Insurance Group equity interest, offset by a $7.1 million pre-tax securities restructuring loss.
Margin, deposits and mortgage banking
Net interest margin widened to 4.41% from 4.27% a year earlier, while deposits increased $109 million, up 4.8% year over year.
Mortgage loan originations climbed to $233.7 million, up 9.5% year over year, with net income in the mortgage banking segment at $1.1 million.
